When I planned the comic, I wanted to include an IT company at which some of the main characters would be employed. I wanted it to be something that could be criticized by various groups of people, but not something “political” – so no Wikileaks or similar.<\/p>\n
I decided to make it a video game company, because heeeyyy, wasn’t that just perfect? Video game companies might be attacked for the content (and addictive potential) of their games, but that doesn’t cause the kind of drama where people want to seriously harm other people. Perfect to make a comic about! A comic that will at some point include journalists writing about video games.<\/p>\n
That was in spring 2014.\u00a0 ;-P<\/p>\n
Meanwhile there have been complicated game journalism related things happening, and there goes my perfect “non-political” background element. Well. C’est la vie.<\/p>\n
I’m still happy with my decision – and making up the “Hellfire Cowboys” game elements that are sometimes mentioned in the comic is so much fun, I wish I could make the game real.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
